The Nasty, The Bad and the Downright Ugly!
    Today's forecast of light weather across the Disputed Western Territories will go unnoticed, because everyone can feel a storm coming.
    The Iron Lances and the Iron Falcons are sizing up for a face-off as we speak! The Lances have been amassing and hording technological advances for themselves, it being recently revealled that they've had access to Nitro engines since last summer! Meanwhile, the Iron Falcons, while new in town have proven to be a thorn in their sides.
     They have obliterated the Lances' in the air, annihilated their new research and repair station, stolen warehouses of their special ammunition and wreaked havoc on their operations!
     Some have supposed that the are private militia working undercover, but their recent dogfight with Texas Air Ranger special operatives suggests otherwise. This scuffle and growing pressure from the Republic of Texas has led our sources to believe that the Iron Falcons may be none other than the Fighting Daredevils, flying under a new name!
    Their actions certainly correspond to their hallmarks of carnage and calamity. But why do they hold such a grudge against the Iron Lances, that they would hunt them down all the way from Texas?!
    Only time will tell, but one this is for certain, only one squadron will be left standing once they clash. This truly is, the Last Dance!

Stallion Sanctuary Singed!
     Reports have come in of a horrific nature, this article is not for the faint of heart! Lycan Fuego, owner and operator of 'Lycan's Fuego's Stallion Sanctuary and Stallion-Riding School' has gone missing since the destruction of his ranch!
     Our reporter arrived on a scene of ghastly horror and devastation, horses on fire where bucking wildly trying to put themselves out. Others had tired themselves to death, flailing on the ground and had rubbed off most of their skin in the process.
     "A squadron of fighters just dove out of the clouds and strafed the area! The whole places was a-blazing and burning in no time I tell ya!" said an eyewitness. Their markings where identified as not those of the Iron Falcons, but rather the Iron Lances!
     "We're not sure what the Iron Lances wanted with Mr. Fuego's ranch, some pirates are just lunatics who like to burn what they see" began Lycan's personal accountant Harry Tinder, then he leaned closer and said, "but I've met some pirates, and they're not all as wild as the papers would have you believe, I reckon this was a targeted attack". He showed our reporter the accounts of Lycan's ranch "It says here that Lycan had 12 horses, but the militia Police only found the bodies of 4 of them. Obviously Lycan got them to safety as they concluded, but then why hasn't he come to claim on the insurance yet? We've become good friends in recent months, he would just come straight to here after a tradegy like this."
    "I reckon he's on the run from whoever tore apart his Ranch, that's why he's missing along with most of his Horses. The only problem is I can't imagine who'd Lycan would have to run from."
     Interesting stuff from Lycan's accountant Harry Tinder. Could this have something to do with the raid on the repair station, not 15 miles from Lycan's Ranch? The Iron Lances have only ever shown precision in their strikes before. Renegade Pilots? Impersonators? Or something far deeper? We will endeavour to bring you the truth readers!

Missing Phantasm

     Phantasm due to be delivered was allegedly stolen from train upon transport! Failed to believe Engineer at first, then I saw the bullet holes in the train. Such beautiful mayhem! Any information leading to its recovery will receive a hefty reward upon its safe return!

Fully Automatic, Fully Unloads in Bar Fight Sky Haven!

     An armed bar fight in Sky Haven is nothing knew, but few bring  a fully automatic Browning along! Bar patrons noticed gun shots being fired by a red-haired girl at a Hispanic casanova.
     Little was thought of it until rounds struck Black Hat members and blaze of hot lead rocketed across the bar! 'The Browning Bastard' as he's become know covered their speedy escape in a Ford Hoplite with the rotor running outside. A failed hit and run? Or is there a deeper plot at work?

Nitro! The secret is out!

Mechanics at work at BAS base in Pacifica

   It's been a well guarded secret and giant leap in the advancement of aviation, but now the truth is out! Blake Aviation Security, in co-operation with Dr. Fassenbinder (inventor of the Flash Rocket) and his daughter Ilsa Fassenbinder, have spent several years developing a way to get more from existing engines. The answer they come up with was Nitro!

   Using a mixture of Nitrous-Oxide gas injected into the engines combustion chamber, causes more bang for your buck! Giving pilots a temporary boost to speed and engine performance.

   The technology was being kept under raps in order to give pirates a surprise, but no doubt it was giving BAS an advantage over other security firms, many of who are angered by BAS lack of assistance in bringing pirates to justice.

   However, the other reason for such secrecy has been uncovered by our investigative journalists, who have heard talk of Fassenbinder being kidnapped by none other than Nathan Zachary of the Fortune Hunters. And if that wasn't enough, it is rumoured that other pirate sqaudrons now have their hands on this new technology!

Repair Facility Attacked

    In the border regions of the Free State of Colorado, a new state of the art Zeppelin Dry Dock and Repair Facility was due to open. However, the day before a squad of renegades tore the place apart! The company manager wouldn't comment, but our sources claim that the investors have pulled out and the facility is to be discontinued.

A Dark Lance in the Night

          Growing rumours about the 'Iron Lances' squadron are making pirates everywhere think twice, before taking to the skies.           "It was just like any other normal night at the facility [Blake Aviation Security R&D Facility, Colombia], when the night sky shone up as bright as days. Flares everywhere, then a horrible ruckus as bullets and rockets shot past. I saw a few men land from parachutes, run into one of the Hanger, emerge a few minutes later to be picked up by a rope ladder dropped from a plane. They was gone as fast as they came!"

Controversy over Zeppelin Repairs Buy-Out!

          "Loose" Lenny Lou, of Lenny Lou's Emporium, Sky Haven, has sparked controversy today, by attempting to buy-out several Zeppelin repair companies in Boulder, Free Colorado. Many mechanics in the area are against the Buy-Out saying, "Why it's worst than centralised Government this is! Some yokel from up in the mountains trying to own our businesses over here, why it's not right!"

          One who is being a parituclar thorn in Lenny Lou's side is one Sibenik Bertone, who has refused Lenny Lou's business advances several times now, and has threatened "Violent reprimands, see?" if he continues.

A New Approach to Zeppelin Launchings!

         A whole new system of Plane launchings from Zeppelins has been unveiled today! The 'Secret Tunnel System', the S.T.S, or what is quickly becoming know as the 'Flat-Top' design.

         Developed by Dr. Tycho, of Dr. Tycho' Speciality Ammunitions, who has now branched out into Zeppelin systems design and is releasing his own magazine, Modern Mechanix, showcasing all the latest inventions in aerial technology (Seen left).

         The Zeppelin design in question uses a flattened roof as a landing strip, by cutting away the top 8th of the Zeppelin down its spine, until reaching a conning tower. This leaves a section for the hanger doors and the lift system to put in place.

          "It's really quite simple" explains Dr. Tycho, "Planes are still housed in lower belly of the Zeppelin, but are then carried on cranes up to the top of the Zeppelin, where they can taxi out onto the runway, and make their launch"

          "Some of my colleagues have criticised my design, because it uses more energy to carry them up to the top, rather than the old technique of using gravity. But we used a crane system instead of a flat lift to save on weight. And all our tests have shown that landings are a lot safe this way, much better than trying to fly into the under belly of a Zeppelin at speed! No, this is the safer aerial launching and recovery system of the future."

Mayhem at the Galiano Pearl!

     The denizens of the well known bar, situated in the beautiful mountains just outside Denver, were witness to a peculiar scene last night. A small girl with a British accent supposedly took Eddie Vincenzo, son of the renowned Mattias Vincenzo, into a back room. What followed can only be left to speculation, but she emerged with Eddie a few minutes later with a gun to his head!

      She then proceeded to demand donations for her new and upcoming Pony Club based on a Zeppelin.
